  • Individually at your own pace, or
  • As part of a supportive group of 9 members or less. 

Make yours a private, reflective journey, or share with other members, with the autonomy to mix and match in whichever way suits you best.

By you - Do you have a great idea but feel uncertain about how to transform it into reality? Or perhaps it isn't a great idea, but more an inkling, a hunch, or a curiosity... Our 'Brainchild Playground' is the ideal environment to dive into your concept. In this supportive space, you'll find the encouragement and resources needed to explore, develop, test and try stuff out in order to give you an indication of whether there's potential to take it out into the world.

  • Experience the antithesis of a 'Shark Tank' or 'Dragon's Den' scenario, where instead of interrogation you'll receive abundant affirmation, validation, and reassurance from a nurturing community as you dream, delve, and discover. 
  • Alternatively, if you are not an ideas person (yet) embrace your inner Cheerleader and become a beacon of positivity and support to your fellow community members as they bravely experiment with their ideas. 
  • Or why not collaborate with others in a forum you create specifically around your interest in art, psychology, parenting, leadership, nature, space, technology, sport...you name it. If you're eager to uncover the intersection of your interests and mental fitness, you've come to the right place! 

Even better, the pressure is off—you don't need to create anything tangible. We cherish curiosity and exploration above all, and your efforts will be celebrated regardless of the outcome.

Aran's story:                                                                                                                             

"I spent over two decades dealing with some immensely stressful stuff, including:

  • Loss - 5 miscarriages, 2 ectopic pregnancies, 2 redundancies, my sense of taste/smell (Anosmia), significant relationships
  • Failure - 2 marriages, the Post Graduate Certificate in the Neuroscience of Leadership research project (twice), an App, The Dream Register, that was intended to become the non-conscious equivalent of Facebook
  • Health issues - an autoimmune disease, a gene mutation, a blood disorder, postnatal depression, anxiety, depression, long covid, neurological disorders, perimenopause

... and more. 

There was a big gap in my education and knowledge around how to navigate the cards life had dealt me, and a pivotal career change in 2011 sparked a massive learning journey, during which I earned a MSc in Social Science (Studies in Mindfulness), a Professional Coaching Certification (ICF PCC) and a Diploma in Learning & Development, and set up two businesses 'Get To Know Your Brain' and 'MindTheFullness'. Ultimately all leading to the opportunity to establish the Women's Mental Fitness Institute in collaboration with other extraordinary women with equally rich, unique rollercoaster-esque journeys of their own.

Today, I'm genuinely grateful for all the traumatic sh*t I have had to endure, and what it has taught me about the importance of mental fitness. It provided clarity in how to help others as well as myself - that's a never-ending journey - to ease (not cease, we're not delusional!) suffering in the progressive, authentic, compassionate online environment of the Women's Mental Fitness Institute.

What is Mental Fitness?

Mental fitness fuels mental health just as physical fitness fuels physical health. The concept, with roots dating back to the 19th century, is experiencing a resurgence as it becomes increasingly recognised as a crucial component in modern life.

What is Women's Mental Fitness?


Women are neither superior nor inferior to men; we are simply different. Rather than being a niche group or a subset of humanity, women make up roughly half of the global population. 

We believe that women's mental fitness is unique and differs from men's mental fitness, not in an absolute 'black and white' sense, but rather in a way that recognises each individual possesses a blend of masculine and feminine qualities that shape their identity as a man or woman, if that is a social gender construct they identify with (we're all about autonomy).

With the departure of outdated research models that defaulted to using a man as a universal representation of a human, the scientific community is rapidly unlocking new insights and opportunities to comprehend women more deeply and accurately. 

Women's mental fitness acknowledges unique aspects such as biobehavioral mechanisms that naturally facilitate nurturing and supporting others.
